This section provides instructions on setting up and using the authenticated wireless LAN (KITnetX) on macOS.

Step-Guide

1. From the home screen, tap Settings.
2. Tap Wi-Fi.
3. Enable Wi-Fi.
4. Tap KITnetX.

5. Click on the Wi-Fi icon located in the upper-right corner of the menu bar.

6. Locate KITnetX in the list of available Wi-Fi networks and click on it.

7. Enter your CIS account's login name and password in the Account Name/Password field, then click the OK Connect button.

8. Ensure that the server name aligns with the domain name specified in the certificate displayed on認証付き無線LAN  User's Guide for the Authenticated Wireless LAN(KITnetX) 利用の手引き .If they match, proceed by clicking "Show Certificate" button.

   If they do not match, it could indicate that a malicious third party has installed a Wi-Fi access point with the same name. In such cases, it is recommended to cancel the connection.

   Then tap on "Details".

   Scroll down through the displayed information and confirm that the fingerprint matches the one listed on the certificate on認証付き無線LAN  User's Guide for the Authenticated Wireless LAN(KITnetX) 利用の手引き .If there is a match between them, proceed by clicking the Continue button.

   If there is no they do not match, it could suggest indicate that a malicious third party has potentially set up installed a Wi-Fi access point with an identical name; thereforethe same name. In such cases, it is advisable recommended to cancel the connection.

To access websites and online services on the Internet

1. Tap Image Added.

2. Tap Configure Proxy.

3. Tap Automatic, then tap Save. This will enable internet access, allowing you to browse websites and access online resources.

4. If you cannot connect after following the steps in step 3, enter "https://cis.kit.ac.jp/proxy.pac" in the URL field and tap "Save".
