I changed my phone. How can I re-register the OTP app for multi-factor authentication on my email?

Solution

To re-register the OTP app, please delete the current registration from the webmail settings and then set it up again.

This procedure must be carried out while connected to the KITnet campus network (e.g., using a fixed global IP address or KITnet Wi-Fi).

If you are currently off campus?due to a business trip, studying abroad, or living far away?and need to re-register immediately, please log in to the Support Desk using your CIS account and submit a request under "General Questions" with the title:
"Request to cancel OTP app for email multi-factor authentication".

  1. Access Webmail.
  2. Click Webmail - Log in.
  3. Enter your CIS account username and password.
  4. On the home screen, click Preferences.
  5. Select Customize My Preferences.
  6. Click Multi-Factor Auth.
  7. Under OTP APP, click Del.
  8. In the "Do you want to delete OTP APP registration information?" dialog, click OK.
  9. Re-register the OTP app by following the instructions in:
    Implementing Multi-Factor Authentication in Email > Setting up OTP APP
