This section explains how to set up your university email address in Thunderbird.

  1. Launch Thunderbird.
  2. If you are already using a different email address, click the hamburger menu (three horizontal lines) > Account Settings to open the settings screen. Then, select Account Actions > Add Mail Account.
  3. In the setup window, enter the following information:
    Your Name: Enter your display name (this will appear as the sender's name in emails).
    Email Address: Enter your university email address.
    Password: Enter your CIS account password.
  4. Click Manual Setup.
  5. In the input fields for the incoming and outgoing servers, enter the following details:

  6. Click Complete.
