Obtain the necessary access credentials and configuration details required for connection.

1. Sign in to https://vpnt.cis.kit.ac.jp/ using your CIS account.
2. Click the 'CI required for usage' button to take notes of the confidential information for your Mac.

How to set up a client VPN connection on Mac

1. Tap the [Settings] icon on the home screen to open the Settings app.
2. Once the Settings app is open, tap [General] > [VPN].
   
   
   
3. Tap [Add VPN Configuration...].
   
4. Tap [Type].
   
5. Tap [IPsec] and then tap [Back].
   
6. Enter any name, such as 'KITnet' for "Description", 'vpnt.cis.kit.ac.jp' for "Server", your CIS account for "Account". the group name you noted in "Group Name" field, and the shared secret you noted in "Secret" field.
   
7. Tap "Auto" under "Proxy".
   
8. Enter "https://cis.kit.ac.jp/proxy.pac" in URL and tap "Done".
   

Connect to the service and use Fortigate client VPN

1. Tap the [Settings] icon on the home screen to open the Settings app.
2. Tap "VPN" from the left menu.
   
3. When the prompt "Please enter your authentication information" appears, input your password and tap OK.
   
4. If the connection is successful, the status will change from "Connecting to VPN" to "VPN."
   

Disconnect from the service and revert to the original network connection

1. Tap the [Settings] icon on the home screen to open the Settings app.
2. Tap "VPN" from the left menu.
