Here are the instructions for using the front-end server with the free software Putty.

Step-by-Step Guide

Download and install Putty from the official website on your computer. (Download PuTTY - a free SSH and telnet client for Windows)
Launch Putty, and you will see a window like this:
In the “Host Name” text box, enter front.cis.kit.ac.jp and click the “Open” button.
The first time you log in remotely, a window like this will appear:

Click the “Accept” button.
Enter your login name and password to log in.
