How to log in

Access to https://vpnv.cis.kit.ac.jp/ with a web browser.

Select "BrowserVPN" for "GROUP".

Enter your CIS login name and password for "USERNAME" and "PASSWORD".

If you choose 'SAMLBrowserVPN' under 'Group,' you can log in with KIT Federation IdP.
Please note that there is a known issue causing the display language to switch to English after logging in.


Upon successful login, you will be directed to the portal page.

How to access to a web page through a URL

Enter the URL of the web page you want to access in the input field at the top of the screen and click ‘Browse’.
If you want to access it via https, select ‘https://’ from the drop-down list on the left side of the input field.

If you try to access web pages that are not compatible with the browser VPN (Cisco ASAv), such as the web payroll system, you will be blocked. Please use the browser VPN (FortiGate) to access those web pages.

How to add a web page to your personal bookmarks

Enter a display name in ‘Title’ and the URL of the web page you want to bookmark in ‘URL’. Click ‘Add Bookmark’ to add the web page to your personal bookmarks.

To delete a web page from your personal bookmarks, click ‘Delete’ on the right side of the personal bookmark.
