This section explains how to set up a Buffalo router to use a static global IP address.
Please refer to it when checking or resetting the settings if your connection suddenly becomes unusable.

The configuration screen image is from the WSR-1500AX2S model.

  1. Before turning on the router, ensure that the switch on the side is set to "ROUTER."
    If there is also an AUTO/MANUAL toggle switch, make sure it is set to "MANUAL."

    Immediately after purchase, the switch is set to ROUTER mode.


  2. Connect the LAN port on your router to the LAN port on your computer using a LAN cable.
  3. Turn on your router.
  4. Open a browser on your computer and go to http://192.168.11.1/.
  5. When the login screen appears, log in with the credentials provided on the setup card (or use the updated credentials if you have changed them).
  6. Click on "Advanced Settings."
  7. Navigate to "Internet" in the left menu.
  8. When the submenu expands, select "Internet."
  9. Change the IP address acquisition method to manual settings.
  10. Enter the desired global IP address (starting with 133.16) for the router's IP address.
  11. Set the default gateway IP address with the fourth digit as '1'.
  12. Configure the primary DNS server address as 133.16.28.44 and the secondary DNS server address as 133.16.28.45.
  13. Click the "Apply" button.
  14. Wait for the screen to switch to the settings screen.
  15. Once the screen changes, the configuration is complete.
